Global Gandhian Movement for Swaraj (GGMS), a network of individuals, organisations, campaigns and movements, subscribes to the vision of 'Swaraj' — Self-Rule or Home Rule — as explained by Mahatma Gandhi in Hind Swaraj. Created on the occasion of Hind Swaraj Centenary International Conference, November 2009, in Delhi by more than a hundred eminent thinkers, scholars and activists, GGMS has His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the most respected voice of humanity's conscience today, as its leader. The network, with Swaraj Peeth Trust as its Secretariat, aims at building Gandhian perspective on all forms of violence and injustice; formulate action programmes; and, carry out experiments in nonviolent action.
